CII Karnataka Real Estate Conference
Event Overview
The CII Karnataka Real Estate Conference – Second Edition, 2025, held in Bengaluru, was a dynamic platform for government leaders, policy experts, and industry stakeholders to discuss the future of South India's real estate sector. The event brought together key players to chart the next phase of growth and explore emerging opportunities.
The conference kicked off with a keynote address by Gaurav Kumar, Managing Director – Capital Markets & Land, CBRE India. He unveiled key insights from CBRE's latest whitepaper, ‘The Southern Advantage: Real Estate Driving Prosperity’. His address highlighted the increasing momentum in Karnataka's real estate market, driven by infrastructure development, institutional investment, and the rise of Tier-II cities as new investment hotspots.
We were honored by the presence of Mr. Tushar Girinath, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Urban Development Department, Government of Karnataka. His address underscored the vital role of public policy, governance, and urban planning in fostering sustainable and inclusive growth throughout the state.
Gaurav Kumar also moderated the panel discussion “The Investment Code: Decoding Capital Trends in a Changing Market”. The discussion delved into investor sentiment across various asset classes, including land, office spaces, and emerging sectors like data centers and industrial real estate. The panel also emphasized South India's potential to attract institutional capital for both mid-sized developers and new asset types.
Another highlight was the session “The Next Growth Frontier: South India as a GCC Powerhouse”, led by Ram Chandnani, Managing Director – Leasing, CBRE India. This conversation focused on how cities like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai are evolving beyond traditional IT roles to become global innovation hubs. This transformation is fueled by supportive policies, strong talent ecosystems, and high-quality real estate infrastructure.
We extend our sincere thanks to CII and all the participating leaders for driving these insightful and purposeful discussions. The dialogue from this conference will undoubtedly play a crucial role in shaping the region's real estate trajectory for years to come.
