CBRE's exclusive thought leadership conference, Pune: The Heartbeat of Emerging Opportunities, served as a strategic forum to highlight Pune’s expanding role in India’s economic transformation. The event brought together thought leaders, subject matter experts, and industry pioneers to discuss the city’s accelerating urban evolution, investment outlook, and the growing sophistication of its built environment.In his special address, Anshuman Magazine, Chairman and CEO for India, South-East Asia, the Middle East, and Africa at CBRE underscored Pune’s remarkable rise from the margins of India’s growth story to centre stage, emerging as one of the country’s most compelling urban transformation narratives. Pune today stands among India’s premier office destinations, capable of hosting complex, multi-specialty GCCs and setting new benchmarks for urban economic growth.
He also highlighted company’s long-standing culture of excellence and integrity, noting that recognitions such as CBRE's consistent ranking among the world’s most ethical companies and being India’s top employer by Time reflect the trust built with all the stakeholders over decades.
Ajit Ranade, Senior Fellow and Trustee at Pune International Centre, shared his perspective on India’s structural growth drivers and Pune’s unique position as a diversified economic hub. He emphasised city’s strengths in manufacturing, IT, research, and innovation, supported by robust infrastructure and policy tailwinds.
A key highlight of the event was the launch of our latest report, “Pune: The Deccan Dynamo's Commercial Ascent,” which offers an in-depth view of Pune’s commercial real estate landscape and presents a forward-looking outlook on its evolution. Abhinav Joshi, Head of Research for India and MENA at CBRE, shared the overview of the report, outlining Pune’s competitive advantages and growth trajectory. The day also saw two high-impact panel discussions. The first, moderated by Reenu Rai. MCR, Associate Executive Director, CBRE India, who along with the panel dived into India’s strengthening position as a Global Capability Centre hub and the role Pune plays in driving digital and operational excellence.
The second insightful discussion, moderated by Anuj Dhody, City Head & Leasing Head, Pune, CBRE India, explored current and future trends shaping Pune’s real estate market. The panel evaluated how institution-backed developments and next-generation assets are elevating the city’s maturity, competitiveness, and future-readiness.
