The CBRE CII BFSI Summit 2026 concluded in Mumbai, with CBRE as the exclusive Knowledge Partner. The summit was held on 5 May 2026 at The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai. It brought together leaders from government, institutional finance, private equity, lending, and the real estate sector to deliberate on the evolving dynamics of India’s capital ecosystem. Anshuman Magazine, Chairman & CEO – India, Southeast Asia, Middle East & Africa, CBRE, outlined the structural shifts shaping both the BFSI and real estate sectors, including the growing prominence of REITs, AIFs, private credit, increased FDI inflows, and alternative financing models. Deepak Parekh, Chairman, HDFC Asset Management and HDFC Capital Partners, shared perspectives on the long-term growth trajectory of the insurance sector, while highlighting emerging demand drivers such as Global Capability Centres (GCCs) and data centres.

The summit also marked the launch of CBRE’s latest thought leadership report, “Deploying Capital in a Transformative Era: The Four-Quadrant Analysis.” Abhinav Joshi, Head of Research, India, MENA, CBRE, presented key insights from the report, highlighting a clear shift in capital allocation towards real estate, growing global interest in commercial assets, increased focus on core investments, and strong momentum in alternate segments such as data centres.

The event featured a series of insightful panel discussions. The Resilience Equation: Decoding India’s Performance in a Volatile Global Ecosystem, moderated by Gaurav Kumar, MD – Capital Markets & Land, CBRE India, explored how India’s real estate sector continues to sustain momentum amid global uncertainty. Residential RE 2030: Structurally Strong or Sentimentally Driven?, moderated by Vamshi KK Nakirekanti, Head – Valuations (India) and Head – Consulting & Valuation, CBRE SEA, examined demand drivers, financing trends, developer strategies, and the long-term stability of the housing market.

Capital Deployment in a Hybrid World: The Office Playbook, moderated by Sumit Arora, Head – National Ops (Consulting) & Workplace Strategy, CBRE India, analysed evolving investor and occupier strategies, highlighting the continued strength of office real estate as a core investment class.

Alternate Assets: Which Sector Holds the Max Potential?, moderated by Alok Kumar Puri, MRICS, Head – Business Development & Alternate Assets, CBRE India, underscored the growing role of emerging asset classes in diversifying investment portfolios.

A key highlight of the summit was the unveiling of Investment IQ Pro, CBRE’s advanced platform designed to enhance real estate investment monitoring and management. Presented by Rami Kaushal, Managing Director – Consulting & Valuation Services, India, MENA, CBRE, and Divya Goyal, Head – Investment Risk Monitoring, CBRE India, alongside Team Sammaan Capital and Team PAG, the platform offers real-time risk monitoring and portfolio visibility, deal-level tracking through integrated dashboards, multi-level approval systems, and automation of up to 80% of workflows. Investment IQ Pro is an in-house solution aimed at delivering greater control, security, and efficiency, enabling faster and more informed decision-making for clients and the broader industry.

The CBRE CII BFSI Summit 2026 reinforced the growing convergence between capital markets and real estate, while providing a platform for forward-looking dialogue and collaboration.
