NoMa: REI officially opened its new store at the Uline Arena development in October. The 51,000-sq.-ft. store is REI’s fifth flagship location nationally and first in the District.
14th Street: J. Crew opened a 5,000-sq.-ft. men’s store at 1618 14th Street, NW. It joined other men’s clothing stores which have recently opened in the District including Bonobos, Frank + Oak and Ministry. J. Crew also plans to open a women’s clothing store on 14th Street in the near future.
Van Ness: Soapstone Market officially opened its doors at 4455 Connecticut Avenue, NW. The upscale market occupies 6,000 sq. ft. at the new Park Van Ness apartment building.
East End: Nordstrom Rack opened its third D.C. location at 555 12th Street, NW. The 37,000-sq.-ft. store is adjacent to the new 34,000-sq.-ft. Saks Off 5th which opened in September.
