• The Chicago industrial market navigated through the challenging times that 2020 created and came out with stable vacancy hovering around 3.5% and positive net absorption of 13.5 million sq. ft.

 

  • Year-to-date leasing activity totaled 41.9 million sq. ft., nearly on par with 2019’s year-to-date total of 42.2 million sq. ft.

 

  • Industrial construction activity pushed to record levels posting just over 25.8 million sq. ft. currently underway consisting of 41 buildings.

 

  • A total of 19.5 million sq. ft. of new developments comprised of 84 industrial buildings were completed throughout 2020.
